Disc had a coating of something on the read side and it wouldn't install. Took it to a friend who ran it through his DVD/CD cleaner and had to run it twice to remove the deposit. After doing that it installed without a hitch. Pleased with the outcome, but would suggest that further discs should be examined before sending out.

Did an update from Windows 7 and couldn't get it work properly. Did a clean install and it loaded fine. However although I had a genuine Disc with genuine product code I was unable to register it. I have now activated windows 10 by going through troubleshoot. All I needed was to do was create an account with Microsoft and windows was then activated. Very strange as I have never had a problem with any windows installation going right back to Windows 3. I found it takes a bit of getting used to but once when used to it its fine. So far I have only come across 1 program that will not work, but it is very old (a bit like me). Finally, contrary to "popular" reports it is not bad at all just as good as 7. Just take a while to get used to it, then you will be quite happy.

I like it, kind of back to the future with the tool bar. System is so much faster than windows 7 and boots much faster. Only downside is no media center. Have to get media software somewhere else.
