I purchased this mental gear because of size n weight of her. I also added 2 new correct resin wing tip tanks n nav. lights (more wt.). U do have to use CA glue 4 them after washing them + " ALL" parts of kit b4 painting n assembly. I use mental gear on " ALL" my 1/48 big n heavy birds. I highly recommend useing them w/o haveing broken plastic landing gear. I just wish they made resin wheels 4 her. Joe aka Mr.B-25

If you're going to actually build that Heller Lockheed Constellation in your stash, then you definitely want this metal landing gear upgrade. The plastic landing gear struts provided in the Heller kit are weak at best. Get the metal gear to keep your Connie on its feet!
