I really liked this book. It was a really quick read - I finished it in about three days. I wanted to read this book because there was a lot of information provided to the public about Nicole Brown Simpson during the O.J. Simpson trials, but not much was known about the other victim, Ron Goldman, and his family. Ron's younger sister, Kim Goldman, does a fine job in portraying the continuous pain and sorrow in losing her big brother in such a tragic and violent way, only to watch the man who was on trial for murdering him be found "not guilty." Understandably, Ms. Goldman still harbors a deep hatred for Simpson, who she consistently refers to in her book as "the killer." However, this book is not only about the criminal and civil trials, and the family's battle with O.J. Simpson afterwards, but Ms. Goldman also recounts her childhood and adulthood experiences with her father, Ron and their estranged mother, as well as her marriage and romantic relationships following her divorce. Kim Goldman has a son, Samuel, (whose middle name is Ronald in honor of his uncle), from her marriage, and expresses how he has portrayed so many similar characteristics that Ron had and how unfortunate it is her son was never able to meet or know his Uncle Ron. It's a very touching book and I would recommend it to anyone who followed the Simpson cases as it outlines and details Ron Goldman's family's grief after his untimely death in June of 1994, and how his family still miss and grieve for him today, but it also includes personal narratives about the Goldman family and other trials and tribulations they have faced throughout their years together - before and after Ron's death.Read full review

Have not quite finished the book and have skipped around - Kim Goldman does an excellent job in writing and expressing her emotions - any one who has suffered a horrendous loss will find something to relate to and how she deals with it. She bares her soul, her pain, grief, and I rejoiced with her when "The Killer" was exposed and later arrested. I am reading this morning - and just wanted to add to my comment - this lady is a brave soul - I hope that people with such a traumatic experience as murder of a close family member will read this book - it will help. I even revisited the closing statement of Marcia Clark and all the evidence pointed to the killer. They did not make this stuff up - blood drops at the scene were his, evidence all over the place. So now I understand more so, I understand Kim Goldman's emotions.Read full review
