These gold inlay guitar string ties work well; but, maybe defective; so, be very careful and inspect your merchandise!!
These "gold inlay" guitar string ties can come defective; so, watch out!! I know mine did; as, the liquid gold was applied very liberally to the face/design side of the tie. This didn't highlight the design; but, it rather illuminated the whole face of the tie!!! I had to use very fine sandpaper to get the excess gold color off the design. It worked for the most part; but, some of the design got sanded flat and the gold was erased as a result. I'd recommend a very fine paper maybe even 800 to 1200 grit; so, you don't sand off too much of the gold. If having the gold becomes a hassle for you, they offer solid colors as well. Ivory and black look good too; and, I bought a set of both. They're both on my guitars now and look and work great!!!These "gold inlay" guitar string ties can come defective; so, watch out!! Easy, Clean and Better Sound.
Besides not creating gouges in the tie block on the face of the guitar, I think it creates a better break angle on the bridge of the guitar. This better angle transmits the vibration of the strings more directly into the guitar.
