The Series 9 Braun is as good as you can get. It has excellent ergonomic design, is built to a very high standard of quality and it is very easy and smooth to use. It produces a very close shave and does so without dragging or nicking the skin. The cleaning system is very efficient and quick. The main opposition - Philips - also has an excellent shaver in this price range, but I feel that the Braun is easier to use in areas like between the upper lip and nose. I have used both brands over many years and I have no hesitation in recommending this model Braun above all others. It is expensive, but it feels as though it will last for many years.

I did buy one of expensive shaver in past, that was from Philips for 180 € 16 years ago. So after using my Philips over 16 years I decided to buy one not for less money and spent on new Braun over 200 £ and very disappointed with quality of shaving, very very bad. If I can I would return that even for less money but probably no one would accept that after using that couple of times. Very disappointed. Would not recommend at all.

I've been a Philips man for the last 15 years and fancied a change from rotary to foil. Saw adverts for this and thought I'd give it a go. Been using it for a couple of months now and am really pleased with its performance; excellent close shave with very little effort, very smooth and no rash or discomfort. It does have a little tendency to grab longer hairs, though, when shaving close to the moustache/goatee. Think this may just be me needing a little more practice, however, the long hair trimmer does an excellent job of tidying up round the bits one wants to keep. Maintenance/cleaning is very easy, thanks to the charge/cleaning station. I like it. Overall a very good purchase, if a little pricey, but I'm glad I spent the money.

Its replacing one of the older ones I've had for years. Saves my very heavy beard very well - not as quick as I thought it would be - but does the job. It's lighter and more plasticy than the old models, and I'm sure not as powerful - it struggles on 4 day heavy beard. That said, its done a good job, but takes a bit longer than before. Holds charge for a long time - does quite a few shaves.. I can't see what the cleaning station really is for - I hold it under the tap with a bit of fairy liquid and it cleans itself beautifully - so why bother buying the daft alcoholic refills at great cost - bit of a gimmick really.

Had not used an electric razor for many years, due to poor shave and face rash, but the Braun was something else, took advise and used a pre electric shave lotion first and found the cut excellent and the easy cleaning system good
