The Canon G7XII PowerShot is a digital camera. It shoots photos at 20.1 megapixels at up to 4.2 times magnification. The photos are stored on an SD card. Additional SD cards can be used to expand the memory. To transfer the photos to a computer or other device a mini-HDMI cable should be used. Alternatively the SD card can be removed and the photo transferred via an SD card reader.

    Lightweight with great features for a point and shoot

    Some pros: lightweight, good quality images and videos for what it is, easy to use, a point and shoot that allows you to have several shooting options and settings like a DSLR, touch screen, 180 flip screen that can also pull out and is adjustable. Some cons: the audio on the camera is terrible when it's windy, the mic is on the top of the camera and you might accidentally cover it when filming a video, the tripod socket isn't centered so when you've got a plate attached to the camera, you have to take it off if you need to change the battery/SD card.

    Awesome camera. Takes amazing photos, took a little to get used to all of its features. The touch screen is really handy and it’s good value, good quality, and a great compact camera. Wifi works well. And it transfers photos well. 👍🏼

    Lovely Camera

    I usually use a DSLR but wanted a good quality pocket/briefcase camera for daily use. I really enjoy using the G7X. Build quality is excellent and the feature set is magnificent. I would encourage anyone looking for a small but quality camera to consider this unit. Image quality is great. If you are going to do a lot of inside photography, I would move to the newer G1X as it has a larger sensor and thus less noise at low light.

    Easy to hold, easy to use, and easy to like -- that's the Canon G7X II. The greater zoom range (compared to the 24-70 of the Sony RX100 III to V) is important for portraits.

    Great powerful camera

    Replaced my Canon G16X with this camera, and it is a smaller camera with additional functionality and flexibility. The only aspect that needs some user working out is it does not have its own GPS, as it relies on linking with your phone's GPS to set the metadata of the location. If you can afford a powerful compact camera, then I would recommend this one!
