This pump is by far the most comfortable I have used, and I have used 5. The suction feels a lot closer to how a baby feeds too. I also had a Spectra which was effective but too strong and 'mechanical', even on the lowest setting, I needed silicone parts on the shields so I wouldn't end up raw, whereas the Medela was gentle but still just as effective without all the extra parts. I love that you can buy parts in most chemists and baby stores, while on holiday a part of my Spectra pump broke, I had to buy an entire new pump because Spectra parts can only be ordered online. I bought the Swing at the chemist and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was to use. It is quiet and compact so would easily fit into a nappy bag, and you can even buy battery packs now so it can be completely portable.Read full review

My hospital (as do most Australian hospitals) had Medela breast pumps in the bf room when I had my son. I used them to help bring my milk in and then bought one when I went home to take some of the burden away from me feeding all the time. Would definitely encourage new mums to do the same. This pump was way better than the tommee tippee one I borrowed from a friend. Medela was stronger, faster and more effective

The strength of suction is so week. Couldn’t even get 5 mls. Bought this hoping it would help me out. As I’m over flowing with milk. But was very disappointed.
