I bought this book mainly because I watched the "Too Hot Tamales" TV cooking show as long as it was aired. I always enjoyed the way they put different ingredients together to come up with the recipes. Now I can enjoy some of those same recipes in my own kitchen. I like pretty much all of the ingredients they use and know that I will enjoy cooking with them.
I've visited the Border Grille in Santa Monica and found the food to be exceptional and wanted to experience the recipes at home...thus the reason for the purchase. Cookbook is great...recipies are great...chef's are great... resturant was great...what more could you ask for.
I wasn't looking for this cookbook when I ran across it, but having watched them on FoodNetwork, and being a fan of their show, I thought it would be fun to try some of their recipes. I haven't gotten very far into it, but so far everything I have tried, has been very good.
Nice book with great simple recipes. I would recommend it to someone that wants something different to serve to their family and friends!
