Product Information

The first of the nine STAR TREK films to feature largely computer-generated special effects and is again directed by Number One, Jonathan Frakes. While on a survey mission, Captain Picard and the crew of the Enterprise stumble on a conspiracy originating high up the Starfleet chain of command that involves a distressing plan of ethnic cleansing. On a remote planet, a small, peaceful race of human-like beings called the Ba'ku seems to be immune to the ravages of aging. Head bad-guy F. Murray Abraham leads another race for which exposure the planet's radiation is the only cure for an advanced state of degeneration, and, using clandestine Starfleet connections, arranges to wipe out the Ba'ku unless the Enterprise has anything to say about it.

Great balance between a new twist story and action
This is an outstanding show. There are a couple of specific story-lines as well as considerable person to person interface. It demonstrates greed, joy, love, anger, violence and forgiveness. There is, as one would expect from Star Trek, also a lot of action. This is one of if not the best Star Trek film. There are not ho hum segments, it is well-balanced between carrying out a nice story and action, and it has an ending that is satisfying. Lastly, aside from the normal great Next Generation cast the main characters specific to this movie are outstanding; especially Donna Murphy as Anij.This is an outstanding show. Of the 4 Next Generation "movies" that were made this is probably the least favorite. If you have the other 3 then you need this one for your collection.

We highly recommend this enjoyable movie for anyone interested to watch.
A great movie for any Star Trek fan. A movie definitely worth getting and the only one we had a hard time finding in stores. Buying it off of ebay to complete our Star Trek movie collections (we have all of The Next Generation and the original movies featuring Kirk and Spock) was one of the best decisions we ever made. It is a good moving the whole family can enjoy.

Same characters as the TV series. Nearly what you would expect from the TV show. Still entertaining but, mostly bought to fill in my collection. Didn't seem to bring any new revelations to the show. Good if you are a particular fan of the show.

Very cheap on ebay. Wonderful addtion to a Sci-Fi collection. DVDs are very round and flat. you can't get more round or more flat than a DVD. Basketballs, I guess, are more round, buy not very flat, unless you let the air out of it, but still not as flat as a DVD. Paper is more flat than a DVD but not very round, unless of course, you were to cut out a circle, but if you did it by hand, it would not be perfectly round. Were as a DVD is both perfectly round and flat at the same time. Now, I think I've entered 100 characters or more for your review, can I please go now?Very cheap on ebay.
