I really like this updated version! I like to cook, but I like easy, tasty meals that are quick to make after a long day. Sandra uses some different ingredients, but once you get used to them many are easy to keep on hand and even come up with your own recipes based on Sandra's ideas. Things are semi-homemade, which means some tastes are not "down-home" tastes, but she also doesn't use as lot of sugar and butter! I think all of her books are handy!
This woman has put together the easiest, best tasting recipes you can find. If you haven't seen her show on the Food Network, you definitely should. Her ideas are quick and easy and go from family foods to elegant creations, all as simple and quick as anyone could ask for. She gives you ideas on how to shop, what to have in your cupboard so you can fix something when unexpected guests arrive, or quick and easy meals to serve your family. It's a definite must have for anyone who likes to cook.....and especially for someone who doesn't!!
Her recipes are always good. I'm glad to have this book for my cookbook library.

I like the pictures, they are colorful and show you what the end result should be. The recipes are very easy to follow and easy to follow.
