I lost my Creative Cookbook 5 yrs ago. It has taken me 5 years to find the correct book. I love the recipes! I use mine, I don't really collect. But this book is awesome!

This book was gifted to me in 1985 by a beloved family member who has since passed away. I wasn't exactly into cooking back then, but I recently found my old copy and started out trying some of the recipes. The book is very simple to use, the recipes are versatile and many, including everything from soups to desserts. I love this book so much! It is my new best friend in the kitchen. Pictures are beautiful and plentiful. Recommend this book highly, especially for beginner cooks!

This may be the best cookbook ever compiled. I bought my first copy 27 years ago for my newlywed wife, as it seemed our kitchen was foreign territory to her. Never had a clue what a gem this book was going to be. My wife overcame my "subtle" suggestion. Cooking to her was like volunteering to clean latrines at a leprosy camp. So over almost 3 decades, her husband wore that cookbook to shreds. I am glad to get a fresh copy. Turgeon did not get too carried away with strange ingredients and her descriptions were always clear and concise. Lots of great photos help the chef to know what the recipe is SUPPOSED to look like when finished!
My grandmother had this exact cookbook and I wanted one just like it. I copied the pages that she wrote on in her cookbook that my aunt has. My grandmother used this cookbook a lot and it has a lot of old recipes in it.
