This product will hold a 55" flat panel tv. But it is a lot smaller than a mount that is made by the tv's manufacturer. Also, there are 2 sizes of mounting screws that mount the vertical bars to the tv. There are no spacers or longer screws for the smaller holes which in turn places the tv so close to the wall it is necessary to secure the spring loaded releases with a coat hanger or hook.
