    Makes a great SOHO Router!

    This router works great when you need more performance and features not offered in the standard NAT router (Linksys, Dlink, Netgear, etc). The familiar Cisco CLI makes configurations a snap for someone familiar with IOS. Two of the main features I've used are Inbound port mapping (listen on an obsecure port to map to a standard inside port) and SSL VPN termination so I can log in remotely. Router works great and operation is silent. A step up from the standard NAT router for sure. I've been pulling down over 20 megabits over my Wifi now where before I could only get around 15. ~Jason

    Good small office or LAB Router

    Perfect router for labs. I use it like home/lab router with VPN connection to ISP provider. 871 has 4 switch ports, so you can configure VLANs./VTP My model without wireless module, I use Linksys like Access Point. Good performance, silent and very stable work.

    Cisco 851 router outstanding

    Perfect router for small office or lab. I am using the router to become more familiar with cisco products so I can get CCna certification. I have a cisco 2514 but it is so old there are multpile comands I can not use.
