The Special Edition Covert Forces wireless controller from Microsoft is a solid piece of gaming hardware. Of course, the previous generation of Xbox controllers had major issues concerning the d-pad, but Microsoft definitely addressed this issue this time around, much to the delight of fighters such as myself. Personally, I have smaller hands and the ergonomics of this controller feel phenomenal. Everybody I've asked says the design of the Xbox One controller feels great in their hands, albeit not as great as the Dualshock 4, but still great nonetheless. Another HUGE selling point of this controller is the inclusion of a 3.5 mm headphone jack, similar to that of Sony's Dualshock 4. I still don't understand why Microsoft didn't just include this feature to the base model in the first place, but eh. The headphone jack works seamlessly when I connect my Apple Earbuds to it, even when I'm using the controller wirelessly and playing my Steam games on my PC. All in all, this controller is a winner any way you look at it, and you shouldn't think twice about purchasing one. 5/5Read full review

upgrade from the 360, but having used the this type and the One S controller the One S is and even better upgrade, with better skin texture, uni body design, more compact size with better weight feel. The biggest thing for me is the new skin one the One S just feels way better than the smooth plastic on Xbox One controller. O and NO wireless bluetooth dongle needed for the One S controller if you want to use it with your PC, where as the regular Xbox One Controllers do need a bluetooth dongle.

I bought three controllers for my kids for Christmas and i saved lot of money compared to buying brand new ones. I like that they came in the original box so my kids don't even know they are refurbished.

The controller works great. It's a "2nd generation" controller, so it has jacks for both types of headphones which is nice. Definitely would recommend the controller.

Much has improved in my 7 year hiatus since picking up an Xbox Controller. 4K HDR looks amazing on this console and I can't wait for the next generation of games to come out that'll really push this console to it's limits. Is it worth upgrading from an Xbox One S? Not in my mind, but from an original Xbox one or an Xbox 360, then yes ( So long as you have a 4K TV, and preferably HDR also)
