First, Great product!!! Read on if you wish. We have a large Log home. Three floors,wood walls,wood ceilings etc. That means running any "new wiring" is difficult. Access point is home office on lowest floor, main living area on second and bedrooms on third. Tried several thru send signal through the house 115 volt wire system with low success. Tried moving wireless router to second with limited success, due to logs and distances (Note. resetting the computer system involved running from floor to floor). Tried other options, "N", gigabyte, purchasing whizbag trick antennas, trying multiple locations, moving furniture, Best Buy geeks and Time Warner advanced geeks.. no luck. Home is just "too big" they said. I purchased this Asus "gimic" extender on a whim. Removed from box, installed as per instructions, sat it on a second floor couch arm as far from the office wireless router as I could. Took a laptop to farthest walls in the farthest rooms, including all outside decks. Perfect in all areas!!!!! I did buy a second Asus "gimic", as a ready to go spare in case Asus stopped making them and our amazing little blue LAX airport shaped "gimic" ever got broke. Buy one, end of story.Read full review
I've had this bridge 2 weeks and I'm already looking for a replacement. I have to reboot this device at least once every three days because it becomes totally not responsive. The wifi signal is fine everywhere in my house and my other devices are still connected while this asus bridge just sits there like a paperweight.
