This band was essentially a diner-pop version of the Ventures, had very little to offer, and at times sound like they were just learning to play. The vocal tracks are rubbish in my view. Still, there are some nice tracks. The stand-outs are 36-24-36 (2.05), Gonzales (2.10), F.B.I (1.17), Apache (1.01), Kon-Tiki(2.01), and Shadoogie (2.02). A few others are listenable. Disc 3 is utterly worthless; Perfidia (3.10) is atrocious (get the Ventures' version). Now for the mix/EQ: well, we have our typical "modern" brick-wall compression and high-frequencies boosted to an insane degree. That said, if you rip the tracks and apply EQ to smoothly and increasingly lower power in the 2-20KHz range (2kHz by -1db, 10-12Khz by -14dB) and then burn a CD, it's sounds remarkably better (and reasonably close to the original vinyl).Read full review

A good (though not thorough) collection of The Shadows. Has their major hits. I would recommend this CD to anyone.

We had a rock band in high school and we played quite a few of their instrumentals. Their pieces still sound as great as they did then.
