I love the iPhone. I had one before. It's the best phone out there. It has everything you need: Phone, texting, voicemail, internet, calender, maps, email, ipod, camera, facebook, games, apps for pretty much everything! It's pretty easy to use, too. The only thing that's difficult is setting up your email the first time, but if you search online for the settings, it's not too bad. I get them unlocked because I am on T-Mobile, but it's nice because you can also customize it too, changing the wallpaper, icons, and slider.
Positive: nice prise, easy to use interface, great screen, is excellent design, easy to install programs with appstore (there are plus and minus to use iTunes), work fine with mail, online services, the technology push is implemented perfectly, easy to use player, a lot of useful programs (mostly online services). Negative: A little annoying slow response phone (3GS nicer in this regard), very quickly pollute the screen, small battery life especially when using WiFi, quiet speaker when playing melodies (when talking microphone and speakers work fine), it is impossible to put a call melody more than 30 seconds, it is not possible to use the phone as a flash (no special tools and progamma itunes transferred to a PC). Conclusion: at the current price I am willing to accept the shortcomings phone, consider buying it now, right decision, but would recommend to all to acquire the model 3GS (16/32 Gb). It costs a bit more expensive, but it will save your nerves. Although in everyday use 3G is inferior. Recommendation: For the phone iOS ideal for tablet I definitely would have chosen Android. Mobile needs a simple interface and easy operation with one hand, compatibility with other devices is not as important. Definitely 3/4/G/GS/S best in this segment(imho). I recomend to you not to install iOS 5 or later on 3G, it will work slowly, this phone can't work in multitasking mode on iOS 5... as 3GS(imho)Read full review
Aside from the flaws of a used iphone that usually comes(scratches on glass, etc) the 4.2.1 iOS is of course, is slow. The GPS option is a rather nice function, but it is unreliable as you could barely get the reception, but it is good enough to see where the heck you are if you get lost. Since my iphone is jailbroken and unlocked phone, I am able to use different carriers than just AT&T, making switches of sim card if needed. This is rather standard, but it is also at least four times expensive without a contract. Also, besides the fact that this is also an out-dated iphone, the touch screen is rather superior than most touchscreen smartphones I had experienced. Now, since it doesn't come with something like an iphone finder, if i lose it, i lose a great deal of investment. So I have to make sure i won't lose it. The phone is widely commercialized and famous so there are a tons of paid and free apps. I have to say, Apple(the company) is ingenious with its business strategies. If I update iTunes(but i don't, only the essential drivers), the jailbroken will fail and who knows what other setbacks might occur. The iphone itself cannot connect directly with a USB and needs special programs to do so. If you're not tech savvy enough to follow online instruction guides, you won't be able to put your mp3/mp4 into your iphone. I was rather caught off guard with that perspective. It is unfortunate that the mp4 formatted videos for psp could not be played as it is a different codec. I hope that a free app(maybe it is already available) will eventually come out so I could use my psp formats. So yes, I really really hate apple for these things, just to keep their expensive iphones in demand as they really try to fight(succeeding for a few days or weeks before failing agian, but it is enough) agianst these jailbroken/unlock in their own way.Read full review
- Why I bought it? I was willing to give a try on an Apple device without having to spend too much money on it. - What I like most about it? I didn't have to sigh up to any special AT&T data plan. - What I dislike about it? The jail broken promise was not completely fulfilled cos still I had to do some other upgrades on the OS to be able to operate which I was promised they were done. Besides its shorted term battery that will lead me in trouble pretty soon. - Whether or not I would buy the product again? Not likely, I would rather pay a bit more and get a more updated product. STILL, I must say....the auctioning moments on e-bay were great. Although I am telling myself the same thing over and over again...a used phone will always be a used vicious phone...nothing to do about it...
The phone is a good copy of the I-Phone, but we had trouble uploading the Sitia -Legacy program to get the internet and SMS to work. Corporate T-Mobile store helped - others would not. The phone has excellent call sound quality and works great, the international aspect of the phone was difficult to work with but I expected it. The clock had to be manually set, which is odd - expected it to do as other phones and set clock from the network. I was pleased to find two batteries provided in the pack, this was a benefit that I did not expect and is needed. The phone is still new and I am learning the odds and ends of how to operate the phone. The manual could be more detailed, it is a bare knuckles edition and leaves a lot of details out.
