Only problem with the tv is a little lag in response time. Great picture need a sound bar or home theatre to get a good sound. Because the tv speakers is weak. Other then that great tv

I am updating from a 2009 Samsung HDTV. That TV was good and is still working. Now on to Sony XBR-55X850D with Marshmallow update. This TV has so many flaws. I bought it because of Android TV implementation but it’s half-baked on this TV. When you turn on the TV, it feel like forever for the picture and audio to come in sometime. Switching between TV and Android TV is slow. The Android TV launcher is buggy and ugly. You get random forced close on certain apps. A lot of apps and TV integrations on there that you can’t remove and it’s baked into to OS. You don’t know what apps is running in the background unless you want to go into layers of menus. Android TV Play Store has very limited apps not like the phone version. You can’t connect Bluetooth speaker but other devices like keyboard and controller work fine. There is no Chrome of Firefox browser, just Opera. If you want a quick navigation menu and switching between inputs, this is not the TV. Picture quality is good. Don’t bother with the sound from the TV and get a sound bar. Still waiting for Sony to release update.Read full review

Hello everyone just got this t.v and it is amazing. At first I was a bit off by the menu , navigating through the android settings. But with time and effort it turns out to be great! If your looking for true 120hz this the t.v for you, also support 120hz input as well but only in 1080p. Though i would recommend using HDMI input 2. The 1 and 4 wasn't working correctly kind of frustrating seeing what works and what doesn't. I played Mass Effect Andromeda with 4K HDR setting on, and man it was worth every price. All in all this is a great t.v would highly recommend. Not 5 Stars because took a while to configure everything. Also my receiver didn't support the t.v had to switch to Optics

This is my first 4k tv and I am impressed. I had a old crt tv for the last 12 years and this is a huge upgrade. Picture is crisp with good wide viewing angles. This tv does not get very bright but should look good in a room with a couple of windows. I had no issues here. A rainbow glow appears when light is reflected on the screen. I only noticed this when the televison is off. I didn't really notice it when it was on. If you do notice it it shouldn't be that bad. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase.

This is a great TV . The picture is almost like looking out a window . Colors are better than any LED TV I looked at . I'm sure I won't be sorry . I know the quality Sony is known for . I have two Samsungs that were garbage and are in it . Had to replaced them both . Didn't get 2 years use out of them . This picture on this set blows them away and I know it will last more than two years. Unlike the Samsungs ( Junk )
