In general an good lens enabling interesting perspectives. The problem is, that Tamron lenses tend to get aperture and cabling problems from a certain age on. My lens (older than 2 years) failed two weeks after purchase and need a 150 EUR repair now. Obviously the MTTF of Tamron lenses seems to be relativly poor from what I read in the net (too late) and experienced with this model. Note: The lens was surely not mishandled by the previous owner since I received it in first class condition with almost no traces of usage at all.
