I have used this about 30 times, works always. Used loads of flavours, never had a problem. Just have to watch the bottom canister freezing, slowing the blade down, easy solved remove canister and ice and use luke warm water to remove and put ice back in and start up again.

I would advise everybody very strongly to watch a video online in how you make your slush puppy using this machine because I find it very tedious and irritating in the amount of time and preparation it takes ( plus the additional ingredients you need ie loads of ice and salt that create the fusion to turn your slush puppy syrup into making a proper slush puppy ) I was under the impression that it would be something as easy as using a soda stream machine but it’s nothing like that, when I first saw the machine I thought or yes thats ok thats a pretty large container to put the ice cubes in ( how wrong I was ) everything you have to do to get your slush puppy is done manually by yourself, all this machine does is spin a cylinder around in the middle with your ice cubes and salt in that in turn create some sort of fusion that makes the temperature even colder which in turn starts turning your diluted syrup into slush which is on the outer side of the canister, the other thing that you should bear in mind is that it is rather a tall bulky item when its all set up properly and if you have kitchen cupboards on your walls then its very unlikely that you will be able to keep it on show in your kitchen which in turn means that everytime you’ve used it then its a case of dismantle it all again, wash it and try and find some more space in your kitchen cupboards to put it in until the next time you want to use it ...... for the amount of hassle it takes me personally I’ll just stick to popping out and buying a slush puppy when I need one. NB.....be warned you will go through loads of ice cubes and salt to get your perfect slush puppy and this machine as a capacity of 1 litre which is enough for 4 small cups of your favourite slush 🙁Read full review

a ton of ice is required to make slush puppies. constant topping up to keep centre compartment cold . have made up a solution of salted water in the removable centre compartment and keep this in the freezer . when i make slush puppies, i remove the “frozen block “ from the freezer , run the tap over the sides for 30 seconds and place in machine , if i don’t do this the motor will not spin , this stays cold long enough to make 2 x 1 litre batches the lid is also very difficult to remove looks fantastic and great idea but practically, very poor

absolute waste of time, you'd be better off getting an ice crusher,i bought it thinking it would be so easy to use just like the real thing but as you've probably guessed it doesn't work like that, you have to add and and salt before using and top up with more ice and salt during the slush making....an absolute waste of money!!!

Bought this for daughter, works best when you put the tub in the freezer a few hours before use, when using place ice in the tub with some sea salt, put correct mixed slush solution in and the slush is ready within 20 minuets, if you do not add tub to freezer will take hours to work, happy with purchase and service
