Used this generic headshell along with my Denon piece to easily switch between ... Used this generic headshell along with my Denon piece to easily switch between cartridges. This generic headshell, although looking well made is much more difficult inserting into the tonearm plug whereas the Denon headshell inserts easily. SO...there must be a very slight dimension error in it construction. With some "fiddling" and opening up the 4 conductor sockets (with a straight pin) it will insert into the arm BUT you have to be careful. Once inserted, the cartridge works well. If you're not the patient type, just spend the money and get a genuine Denon headshell
