Good sized easy to read mens watch no battery to think about. Good value for a prestige watch

I have always had Seiko watches, right from when James Bond used to wear them (showing my age) and this one is the best so far. Clear numbers and a day date facility without the hassle of wondering how long the battery will last where solar powered. However, the watch stopped working every night at around 11:50 from the beginning of October and doesn't seem to have enough power to keep going. Would work all day once reset but needed to be done ever morning

UPDATE! Bought from new in dark November and the battery failed. SEIKO repair end of May. I'm thinking/hoping this was down to the dark winter months not being able to replenish the charge. If this came with sapphire glass (okay the price would increase) then it would be perfect. As it doesn't it's just a stylish watch with a nice easy read dial especially at night (it's) better than my old lumibright Seiko or at least on par to it)q. As it's chunky it can be easily knocked as more the reason this needs to have sapphire glass. I had it for about a month before I gave it a small chip to the glass (luckily on the edge so not noticeable, but it's there). Oh! just get rid of the canvas strap if you want it to stay clean. (I advise a silicon 1 like in my pic')

Styling is a matter of personal choice but this is a well made, fairly robust watch that exhibits a high degree of accuracy. Works straight out of the box and being solar powered it should be as close to maintenance free as you can get. The second hand lines up with the minute markers (many don't and that's annoying) and it has a polished bezel with brushed stainless strap lugs. Strap is 20mm wide if you wish to replace it, as I have. The watch is light in weight and sits comfortably on the wrist. Not a slimline watch but not chunky either. Luminosity is very good with hands and hour markers standing out well in darkness. Day and date are a little small, otherwise it's all easy to read at a glance. You don't have to stare at it to work out what the time is! Overall a good functional piece of design. Read full review

Seems to be an accurate, clear, well made watch with no useless gadgets, affectations or the dictates of fashion.
