I bought this nine year old designed Pentax K20D because I wanted to move up to a more professional camera body that was robust and weather proof and I could not afford one of the newer camera bodies, I would be looking at £600-£800 at least. I picked up my Pentax K20D WITH a battery grip too for only £126. It was in mint condition and works perfectly, yes it is heavy but I like that because it feels more solid and robust. It's totally weather proof so I can use it in the rain and not have to worry, it has a top plate LCD which is so handy for quickly checking my settings and finally, the image quality is very good, especially if you pair it with a good quality lens.

This is a top Pentax product and will hold its own under all conditions. Its well built and easy to handle no super frills just solid good features that you need without over complication. Its fast and reliable I tried a K5D and went back to the K20D as its a much better camera in my opinion. Good second hand and a few old stock new ones are stil available, its got good steady holding grip where the K5 is lighter and not so good to grip. We dont all need Hd video and lots of filters its all about a camera that takes great photos and is easy to work. The Pentax k20 is all of this and a classic in its own right. I have Ricoh K fit lenses worth lots of money, all work superbly in manual mode. Go and find one a good example is still holding a high price and enjoy your Pentax K20 D its a fine Digitl Camera.Read full review
Hi everybody, I am going to write a short review on the Pentax K20 body. So this camera as you may know has about 14,5 Megapixels, so it should be enough for any amateur or semi-pro photographer. The menu is easy to understand, and very quick in my personal opinion. The thing I disliked about is that you cannot turn off the noise reduction when shooting with long exposure times(longer than 15 sec.) so this makes the light-painting photographing pretty hard. With a good lens, the cameras pictures are tack-sharp, no noise up to 800 ISO, and the shake reduction seems to work pretty well, but dont forget to turn it off when shooting with a tripod(just because you loose some detail). I mainly shoot in .DNG format, because I like to adjust the WB and other stuff in Lightroom-well the file size is pretty large but still good. It is very well-built, and sealed so you can take photos outside even if it starts to rain:) Thats allRead full review
