Mv-fd83 is actually alright as a camera. Fun to use, it even has filters! It is perhaps too good though especially with its optical zoom. The pictures just look like poor quality versions of modern phone cameras. Good luck getting the batteries too. If you want to use third party you'll have to open the case and solder the infolithium circuit closed. There's videos on YouTube.

Was my first digital camera. Storage on floppy discs was so easy even though recording to them was a bit slow, but at the time it seemed reasonable. Even today this camera would serve well for documentary use and close up work. No camera from that period (1995?) compares technically with today's (2102) cameras, but then you would not buy this camera for the same reasons. The Mavica are a piece of photographic history and work exceptionally well within their capacity.
original digital camera - well smart and many useful features, bought mainly as addition to our collection - this camera is also still in excellent operative condition, and is unusual as it uses a floppy for the storage of pictures rather than a ds card.
its a camera ive always wanted it looks good feels just right and takes great photos jusrt shows if you wait long enoughand your lucky you get what what youve always longed for
