Great value for money at only £25 but would hesitate to pay anywhere near full price for this game. A lot isn't quite right with it but for the most part it's an enjoyable play.

I'm a fan of the Mass Effect franchise and this is, to be honest, a bit of a let-down. That said, it is a good game; just not a good Mass Effect. The premise is a tried and tested "monsters taking over the universe" and your character has to stop them whilst simultaneously making Andromeda galaxy planets suitable for habitation by Milky Way settlers. The non-player characters lack a certain depth and likability but can be tolerated. The storyline gameplay, I found, were short and not particularly immersive respectively. The side missions were quite frankly repetitive and tedious and not worth the rewards. Even considering this, I enjoyed the game. There's a certain safety in knowing what the outcome of the game will be and it is a very pretty game to look at. All in all, I think the main point of this game was a sort of foreplay for the new franchise. Easing us into life without Shepard. In short; not bad, not great.Read full review

...Hot, hot garbage. Bugs aside, it's clear no one playtested this. No one quality tested this. And yeah, the least of this games problems, no one bug tested it either. The writing is awful, characters bland & incidental and the main storyline is laughable. You have, unlike many other RPG's (specifically what fans of the mass effect series have come to expect of the IP), very little effect on the game, your character, the outcome or the universe when it comes to your in game choices. They might patch out some of the technical issues, but I can't see them patching in better dialogue, voice acting or storyline. Avoid. This is an insult to the name of Bioware, an insult to the name of Mass Effect.

I LOVED ME2 and 3 and when I saw the horror stories of this game I was really gutted, and was having none of it. I bought it for £20 off ebay recently and I have to say it's really not that bad. It has been patched up well so rarely any bugs, the story is somewhat flat but has it's shining moments and the combat really is a joy. Apart from the facial expressions the graphics, shadow/lighting and texture work are borderline beautiful. It's worth the price for sure. Try to judge the game on it's own and not holding it up against the previous title and you will appreciate it for what it is and not slacking it off for what it should've been.

Downloaded the game to my PS4 Pro. Created my Pathfinder. Started the game. "No Disc" messages, followed by "Corrupted disc" and "cannot read disk". Took all the usual steps (clean disc, clean laser) to no avail. The fact that a MASSIVE patch has been released proves "Andromeda" was released too early, unfinished and broken.
