Having got past all the packing, setting up the DVD player was extremely easy. The picture quality was very good and the remote controller quick and easy to use. Did a quick check and found that as advertised, DVD's from regions 0 and 2 could be played without any messing about. The only failing that could be criticised was that the HDMI receptor socket was slightly misaligned with the casing aperture. A picture was displayed after the HMDI cable was inserted with a bit of giggling.

Start with the remote control, it is small to be cluttered with many buttons, the most interesting part is the STOP button not working! When pressed to stop the DVD it shows (invalid) message on screen, thus forced to use eject button for stop purpose. Easy to hook it to a screen either with composite lead (provided) or HDMI (not provided), the DVD plays region 1,2 disc with no issues, multi voltage 110-220, multi frequency 50/60 Hz. Do not expect much from USB front port since it plays only 3 old video formats like:- AVI(include some Flash videos - i am wondering if someone still using that!!!),MPG (first generation - NOT MP4), can play also TS/TRP video. The USB can play mp3 wma audio formats. It plays also ONE photo format the usual JPEG! The same applied for SD front port except with less capabilities, just insert the card and wait for the player to do it,s job,when finished pull the card (no stop , play, FF, RWD, NEXT, PREV control on supported video files, mp3 audio is OK for semi control.
