I've tested this amplifier with my sub and it works extremely well, very powerful and efficient. (Hardly heats) This amp is 1200w RMS at 1 ohm - for anyone looking to find matching subs If i had to choose the thing I don't like about this amplifier, is that the bass control makes the subwoofer move in and out when you turn it up or down fast. (Not really that much of a problem) just turn it slowly if your going to use it I even took the lid off to look at the guts and it is well constructed.

I have this amp hooked to a Pioneer tsw311d4 12inch subwoofer at 2ohm in a custom ported 1.5cuft box tuned to 34hz and it's simply brilliant. I can't actually believe how good it slams for a single 12. And for 150 quid brand new you will definitely not find better for this sort of money.

After watching Big D Wiz review on YouTube I knew this amp would be perfect for my requirements. Cheapest amp I've bought yet the most impressive. I'm running 2 x 15" DS18 BD series subwoofers, 180 amp alternator and 2 x 140ah agm batterys. Amazing just how good a budget system can be with the right equipment.

It was great for about the 150 hours total I used it but I noticed a popping of my subs when turning car ignition on the day before it blew up filling my car with smoke and causing my ecu to lose communication with my key fob, probably due to it shorting out as a result of it frying itself as it never blew any of the 3 40 amp fuses or the main power fuse. I've bought old second hand amps that have lasted longer than this. I'd never even run it over half gain or anywhere near it's full potential as it is rated much higher than my subs are. When it worked it did produce quite nice clean bass and run the twin Vibe subs without any trouble. Very disappointed really as now I have no amp to run my subs. At least it lasted longer than the first gen Vibe VP4 mono Class-D 3000W amp I had many years ago. That blew up with much less popping, cracking and banging than this Pioneer amp but only lasted 3 months before returning to Vibe which after 3 months refunded me and finally admitted a serious and dangerous design flaw. At least in those 3 months the Vibe amp got a lot more hours usage than this Pioneer.Read full review
