    Budget performer that exceeds expectations

    My e-bike seems to eat cassettes for breakfast. It doesn’t matter how careful I am, the 85nm motor eventually ruins the teeth of the most used gears. Thankfully a hard-wearing and cost-effective solution can be found in the PG-1230. It resists wear well and definitely won’t break the bank. Recommended.

    An affordable stamped steel cassette

    The NX Eagle PG-1230 is SRAMs most affordable cassette. The cassette uses Shimano's HyperGlide freehub body instead of SRAMs XD driver on the rest of SRAMs 12-speed cassettes, which means it has slightly less range compared to the 10-52 on more expensive models. The cassette is made from stamped steel and weighs159g heavier than the lighter GX cassette.
