I own two of these - one for 9 months and another for nearly two years. The two year model has worked without a hitch. The features are plentiful and the screen quality is good for general TV/movie viewing. On this unit alone I would rate the W2600 at 'Good'. The range of inputs is just phenomenal - although it's a shame that there is no HDMI input other than via the DVI port. However, the second unit has developed the dreaded power problem. Do a quick google for 'W2600 power problem' and you'll see what I mean. The good news is that it turns out that Dell readily admit that there is a known problem with the power supply on these monitors. That bad news is that there is no real fix for it other than to send it back to Dell and get a replacement. Even then, the replacement will be a different model as they have stopped this model completely!Read full review
The picture quality and sound is all perfect and its picture in picture function, makes it possibly for one to watch 2 channels-sky/dvd/etc at the same time. The bad point is that after 3years, they are dead. Mine died/stop working just after 3 and a half years. I googled the model number and realised I am not alone with the same problem - sound but NO VIDEO. I did a lot of research and realised that in the US, Dell was replacing those model with new one free of charge, even if they are out of warranty because they realised that it was not fit for purpose. I contacted DELL UK customer service and pointed out to the guy about the US replacing that model. The customer service representative told me boldly and that, that is the US but not UK - what a a cheat, UK DELL SO DONT EVER BUY DELL TV IF YOU ARE IN THE UK. IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE IN THE US, AT LEAST YOU MAY BE ENTITLED TO A NEW ONE SHOULD THE TV BE FOUND NOT TO BE FIT FOR PURPOSE. WHY BUY DELL TV BY THE WAY IF THAT TV AS I UNDERSTAND, WAS MADE BY PHILIPS (IT WORKS WITH ALL PHILIPS REMOTE CONTROL.A EVEN A TAPE/CD PLAYER CAN CONTROL THE VOLUME)BUT REALLY EXPENSIVE BUT NOWADAYS YOU CAN GET REALLY GOOD DEALS FROM PHILIPS AND THE REST. WELL, A WORD TO THE WISE IS ENOUGH.Read full review
