Resurrection Of The Daleks (DVD 2002)may lack some of the spectacular special effects of more recent Dr Who offerings. However, this does not detract from another tense struggle for survival between The Dr and probably his best known foes 'The Daleks'. Dark, moody and set in a believable setting of the planet Scaro. Some great dialogue scenes between the Dr and creator of the Daleks = Davros. The DVD is put together just as the old, original TV series was - each episode ends with one of the hero characters in some sort of peril. Almost a shame watching one episode straight after another - wait a week and guess what's going to happen! Overall, very enjoyable and nice to compare with modern Dr Who TV series'.
I have been a fan of doctor who for many years and i must admit i did say i would never buy any on dvd ,but as the new series arrived had thought i had no option but to start replacing all my old vhs tapes (75 of them approx) with dvds so ebay seemed the best place to start.But the only thing is after spending all that money on vhs tapes coz it does work out to well over £1000.00 money will hold me back buying others. To give myself a limit i thought i would start off with stories involving the daleks and cybermen only and then see what happens from there.
