Tens machine
Having suffered back pain for some years following stroke rehabilitation, recently the pain has been more noticeable and with other health problems and medications I take restricting my use of painkillers decided to try this tens machine. Pleasantly surprised by this machine, whilst it is early days there was an immediate benefit of pain relief, it is easy to set up and being rechargeable is economical to run. I have only used it on settings 1-3 which is more than enough to provide the relief required. 4 pads don't work as well as 2
I like this item, it's easy to use but the main drawback is that when using 4 pads it seems to be overloaded and only one set works well while the other set you can barely feel. It's easy to change the pulsing, strength and duration and the poster enclosed on placement of pads is really useful. I can't imagine using it on a higher setting than mid way so the intensity is fine for me! It holds it's charge well, I've been using it for 3 weeks and it's still on 2 bars (out of 3). It was easy to find the 3.5mm stud replacement pads on eBay which is good as there was no info on replacements with the item. Is it helping with my chronic pain? A bit. Small but Powerful
I have been suffering from S1 nerve root radiculopathy and wanted to cut down on my daily use of pain killers, this little product has really amazed me with its performance. It arrived days earlier then expected time.It is small yet powerful enough that so far I have never gone above the minimum strength. I use it mainly to gain some time before my simple analgesics like paracetamol kicks in and this little thing is doing its job perfectly. The device is small and discrete enough to be worn throughout a whole workday if required. Electronically - it does everything it says it can on the tin. I would have preferred for there to be a user preset in addition to the eight that it comes supplied with but at the price, I won't complain too loudly. The signal strength and quality is very good but this also depends on the quality of whatever pads one is using. Quality pads will stay sticky longer where the cheaper ones will need replacing much sooner. It goes without saying that you should experiment with pad positions until you find something that works for you. Build quality feels just a little on the cheap side and I can imagin that over time, it might not withstand the rigors of daily use e.g. being knocked or dropped or ...
