Firstly this is a wonderful film, and treats the subject matter with such diginity and deep feeling. I am so glad the makers resisted the call of Hollywood and did not make a glossy cover but instead a gritty and warm film about a man's desire to end his life. Although the subtitels are sometimes hard to follow and remaining attention in the action, it makes up for it by the extras, showing how the actor prepared for the role and interviews with the writers/directors. Based on true events. I can not recommend this film warmly enough.... It touched me at a very deep level and I think film makers that courageous should be supported... Buy it ...watch it ...and tell your friends about it....
I liked its depiction of complex issues such as disability and assisted death. It captures the complexity of family love and interdependence and the impact of serious disability. Subtitles makes it harder to enjoy because I wanted to watch the expressions and non-verbal cues more. I bought it because it deals with assisted dyng; a subject I'm interested in.
