It's brilliant, picture and sound are great, it accesses the internet so i can watch youtube on it and save my favourites to it. Plays from a usb stick. One word of warning, if it wants to upgrade, avoid it if you can, ( If it does what you want why bother anyway)it can lead to all sorts of problems and even scrap the unit. I bought this one as faulty with the intention of trying to fix it but it works perfectly, I've got it mated to a samsung tv. Quite a bargain for £9.00!! LOL.
Cannot navigate properly without a remote which can be an issue with some Blu-Rays. Otherwise great image. quick to load.

Plays DVDs as expected but would have been better if it was region free as I have a lot of non UK DVDs.

a quality Blu ray player. it has many extra features such as internet and love film access. picture quality is what you buy a BVlu ray for though and this machine does not let you down.
The Samsung BD-P1600 represents the lower end of Samsung’s Blu-Ray range, but as anyone who has purchased a Samsung product in the past will know, this does not mean that you will be getting a sub-par device. Unlike some other makes in this price range this machine is excellent quality, It is built with technology you will be very happy with. A really big factor of this machine is it has a very quick disc load speed, Which you normally only get in the high end priced machines. I know people with Blu-ray players that can take half an hour to load the disc! So i researched this before i made my purchase. I am very happy that i have made the best choice of machine. This is a outstanding purchase worth every single penny!!!. As you would expect the BD-P1600 supports full HD Blu-Ray playback and it will also play standard definition DVDs upscaled to whichever resolution you choose. You can connect USB memory sticks to allow for storage of any Blu-Ray Live content made accessible by certain titles and if you want to take the player online you can add in a Samsung USB dongle to enable Wi-Fi connectivity. This means that you can update the firmware of the player via your home wireless network as well as use the connection to download Live content. There is also a built-in Ethernet port for wired internet connectivity. The Samsung BD-P1600 can be used in conjunction with the Anynet+ syncing function via the HDMI port. This allows you to use a single remote control to access the features of a whole variety of Anynet+ connected devices, including your Samsung HDTV or home theatre system. At this price point you will find it hard to get more functionality for your money My recommended best buy in 2009, I got mine for a fantastic price from " TheHut.com "Read full review
