This is such a great printer! I've had several others in the past and so have a reasonable amount of experience but this one is so worth the money. It just works! Obviously you need to design parts with 3D printing in mind but after that, it's great. The two main advances since the last one I bought are the software and the build surface:- The software has features for scaling, rotation etc but you can also cut and split up the print, and save the resulting stl's! Brilliant. That, and the settings are built in and with pre-defined settings so minimal trial and error for prints. The software takes your stl, slices it and manages the print all from one piece of software which, in my opinion, is a definite advantage. The build surface is great. I've only really tried PLA so far but it sticks every time, even when objects have a relatively small footprint! No hairspray, kapton tape, painter tape or anything. And it looks the same as new, even after 50-60 prints! And there's two spares with it anyway! Print quality is very good. There are finer quality printers out there but not for this money. The machine itself is decent quality and required hardly any setup out of the box. The only thing which I'd say is a negative is that the Wifi option is not really an option. It's not like a wifi printer in that sense. You can connect via direct wifi but then your computer is not connected to your router. And the wifi isn't stable enough to print from anyway. I save the prints to the included SD card, put it in the printer (hot swappable and reads instantly, with mini images too!) and print from the printer panel. Much more stable than USB or Wifi anyway. Overall it's a great machine and such a relaxing process now, compared to loads of settings, various slicers and print controllers etc. I highly recommend this machine to anyone looking to get a printer that has all the features of a £2k plus printer for less than half that. Oh, and the filament isn't restricted either (although I wouldn't go too cheap on it anyway as the cheaper stuff can clog the nozzle and won't be as uniform diameter anyway) Did I mention the little toolkit you get with it? Attention to detail is everything! I'm sticking with Flashforge now, 100%Read full review
