A factual account of the life work of Maurice Griffiths by the man himself, where he got inspirationa and ideas from and how he developed them. An insight into the many boats he owned or sailed and how they influenced him. His explanation and diagams of hull form and how they influence stability and instability in some extreme cases explains a lot about his later designs. He devotes a chapter about centreboards and their design and use and then explains the bilge keel versions that he became famous for. There are interesting chapters on some of the designs, but a serious omission is the most famous design, the Eventide? though mentioned, there should be a separate chapter on this boat. Sadly as the great man is no longer with us,not going to happen. John Williams
