The complete series has to be watched.
There isn't a better police series of this era anywhere in the world better than this one. The music, story lines, actors all brilliant. It can only make sense watching life on Mars and ashes to ashes.

Classic series. Great concept for a really entertaining show. It’s really nice to see the time of my youth compared with the modern day. The sets are authentic and the cars and other vehicles used bring back some wonderful memories.

Brilliant series
I love the whole series if life on mars. I remember the police back in my younger days being dressed and acting like this from my uncle being an armed cop. I would recommend purchasing this item and any other series based on the life on mars story inckuding ashes to ashes.

A timeless series..
It is over 10 years since this was shown on the BBC and i is still as quirky and entertaining as it was when first televised. I had Series 1 on DVD, had not seen series 2 for years and decided to buy it. It was as good as I remembered, with brilliant acting by the whole cast. My personal favourite has to be Philip Glenister as DCI Gene Hunt - a brilliant interpretation of a 70's CID detective.

Ok so you've got the first series now get this one as it completes this wonderful thing. Again you'll get so hooked that you'll want to know what happens in the end and to do that you will need to to know the whole story so allow another 8 hours and just get on with. The whole of Life on Mars series 1 & 2 are simply the best cop show that the BBC has ever had for many many a long year. Forget all the nice political correctness, these coppers get the job done and they put the bad guys behind bars where they belong. Honestly if you love great characters great acting then this is for you -Ok so you've got the first series now get this one as it completes this wonderful thing.
