I had an iPhone 3GS, as withmost iPhone users as soon as the 4 came out I NEEDED it, finally 9 months later I got one, first impressions, very good, feels great with a real improvement on the screen, the face chat is amazing, so much better that a webcam on a laptop, other than that not a lot different to the 3GS, everything is identical. Only after a few days have the problems become an issue, it keeps freezing, particularly on EBay for some reason? It has slow times, not very often but they are annoying as I never had any on the 3GS, then the calling, VERY VERY annoying, the screen is too sensitive, my ear lobe keeps putting the call on mute, speaker or now face chat, this is an issue!! To be honest I'm considering selling it now as the 3GS was a better all round phone and would save me £300! Back on EBay I guess??Read full review
Having had an Apole iTouch (32gb- first gen) for a couple of years and been impressed with it's capabilities, I decided to upgrade. Very pleased. Smarter device, better graphics, faster response and, of course, greater usefulness with the phone and 3G as well as wifi. I have signed up with Vodafone at £15 a month and feel I now have complete freedom of use and accessibility. My iTouch has become a music player and backup wifi device whilst I sync a reduced music library to the iPhone and retain space for photos and video. I like the app folders facility for organising into categories, eg holidays, sport, news, etc. Camera is only OK. A pity as the retina screen is great and deserves sharper stills and video to display. This is a minor criticism only, as I use a "proper" camera if I want photos (eg of my grandchildren) to be something for posterity. In summary, I cannot think of a more useful, compact device to help life along in touch with friends and family. Buy one, you won't be sorry!Read full review
Phone purchased as upgrade for earlier model iPhone that had died after failed battery replacement. The iPhone4 is an outstanding phone with lots of features not openly advertised in promotional info. I had considered an iPhone4s but decided that 'Siri' was not worth the additional expense as it really is just a gimmick. I was then very surprised to discover 'voice control' a brilliant facility that gives you hands free dialing via phone direct, blue tooth headset or in my case via my very basic sat nav. Overall I find the iPhone4 a very capable phone that meets my needs; internet access is fine, sms is great particularly the 'imessage' which lets you know your message has been received by recipient. Email function is fine in its basic form and with many apps to enhance its ability. In fact it is easier to point out the areas I would like to see improved. These would be, 1.An improved battery life, you have to be aware of battery life left and stay on-top of charging, I found 36hrs of general use and you need to charge, this is not an issue as long as you keep a check. 2. Does not concern the phone in itself but the content of the app store on Apple iTunes. You will send hours browsing the apps looking and paying for the ones specific to your needs. The advice here is don't clutter your brilliant iPhone4 with needless rubbish and there is plenty of it. 3. Screen size may be an issue if you like to play lots of games, the choice as I see it is you can keep your phone in your pocket and accept a smaller screen for gaming or have a phone with a bigger screen and carry it in your hand or in a bag, I know which I prefer. The iPhone4 is a superbly capable phone in its own right that you can tailor to you. There will always be the urge to have the latest gadget but ask yourself what do you want from a hand held phone? The iPhone4 for me does it all as long as you realize it is only a clever phone.Read full review
We wanted to try out an older model iPhone, since our family was seemingly the only one that had never used one, and the newer models were prohibitively expensive for our purpose of wanting an inexpensive smartphone. The seller delivered this reconditioned model promptly, a day earlier than the advised delivery date. It was in good condition, save for a couple of slight scratches on the back which can't be seen once it is in it's case. Overall we think it was a good buy. Reasonably priced, easy to operate, has all the functions you expect, and for an older, reconditioned model, in good condition.

This phone is awesome!!! The display is great the surfing is great the apps are great...etc etc Most of the things I usally do online i now do them from this phone. (i write this from my phone :P) + the resolution is so high ones u get used to it wont be satisfied with any lower pixel density + its fast + This is an obvious one: camera chip is great under good conditions + battery life up to 2 days which is good for such a big screen. By maximum usage gaming online, surfing ect. in other words in the first days u buy it, it will last for 10 hrs - Antenna problem!! Not such a big issue when having a call but when holding it while surfing or wat ever an icon appears to tells u no network and u have to press ok. If this happens every minute believe me it gets on ur nerves!!!! I solved it now with a case - I need a bigger screen after many hrs of surfing gaming and e book reading I realised that i need a bigger screen. I mean there are other phones out there that have a bigger one why doesnt iphone increase its screen size? It would be a big improvementRead full review
