Straight out of the box this feel like a quality item. It's identical to the stock one but the galvanised look is a bit cheap for me. I'd prefer it a grey or black colour instead to blend in with the surrounding parts. The pulley is also metal and not plastic. It lines up perfectly. Pity that they don't supply bolts. Do yourself a favour and get yourself 3 new bolts from Toyota. I snapped one of my old ones in the head(torquing to Toyota spec) but luckily got it out with a hammer and screwdriver. You can tell it's a brand new item compared to the old Toyota one as the pulley nearly touches the power steering pulley when slack but when it's on the belt it sits at the normal position. This will fit any 2jz engine and be careful not to drop the bolts down the timing belt cavity otherwise you're gonna have a bad day. I did but luckily had a long magnet tool handy. Tools needed 1. Ratchet with number 12/14/17 2. Ratchet extension 3. Rubber mallet or hammer 4. Small pry bar or long screwdriver 5. Allen keys 6. Magnet or newspaper 7. New oem fanbelt(optional) 8. New oem tensioner bolts(optional and cheap) Remove the fan shroud. This will make life so much easier. Put a ratchet with socket 14 on tensioner pulley bolt(tighten) and press down. This will give you enough slack to remove the belt from power steering pulley. Use 17 socket to remove nut on ps pulley. Stick your pry bar or big screwdriver through a hole to stop the pulley from turning. When the nut is off, put it back on and turn it clockwise about 4 times. This is only to stop the pulley flying off and damaging anything or hurting you. Bless the pulley with the hammer just to loosen it on the spline and then wiggle it off. Do not hit the pulley on the ribbed edge with a metal hammer. Remove the nut and take it off. Now you have to take the lower plastic cover under the cam pulleys off. We removed the power steering pulley to get to the last cap screw on the cover. Two either side and one deeper in a centre hole. You are now ready to remove the old tensioner, you will see it's held on by three nuts. You can remove the viscus fan to avoid damaging the blades but my ratchet extension was long enough. Take the newspaper and stuff it into any holes down where the timing belt goes into. Not too deep as you'll have to take it out again. This will prevent bolts falling in there. Take socket 12 and remove the three bolts. They are quite tight and will snap loose so be careful working near the fan. Remove tensioner and replace everything in reverse order. Remember to put the lower cover back before putting the ps pulley back. Get a 1jz or 2jz serpentine belt routing image on google and replace the belt as per diagram. Replace all covers and fan shroud and you're good to go. I don't work for carpartsinmotion or Ina, I'm just a happy customer. Read full review
