All Pro's Here - No Cons. Great Value - This is a Winner. I first obtained Bowling Green as a Christmas gift from my daughter at least 15 to 20 years ago. I have been a fan of this fragrance since. It is a pleasant but not overwhelming scent and it lasts. Of course my opinion is selective but it is what I like and it is the way I roll. I am 80 years young and Beene's Bowling Green makes me feel confident and comfortable in my presents around other and also comfortable in my own skin. Buy It. ROE

the price was good but the fragrance has no staying power. I've loved Bowling Green for decades and I was so disapointed.

Buyer beware for this product. I've been wearing Bowling Green for decades. It has a unique and natural scent all its own and does so without being over-powering. Women love the smell of real men's cologne. However (and I truely can't imagine why)it is no longer made. I bought this from a vendor, thinking I'd get one last hurah from this great product only to be disappointed in finding someone made a very fruitless attempt at replicating it. It's pretty sad, because the real thing makes just about every other scent out there smell cheap. Exceptions are far and few. To me, it was just beyond idiocy for them to have ever taken this off the shelf. I mean I do like their Grey Flannel, but this was definately the better of the two.
Not as long lasting as I'd like it to be, but certainly not short-lasting. I like the clean scent that isn't too musky or too pine-needle-y. I'm a woman & like it because it's odor is not sickly sweet, too floral or too vanilla. It works as a gender neutral smell. A lotion & shaving cream should be offered.

To always favorable comments I've worn this men's fragrance since its creation. Sadly it's now been discontinued and difficult, not to mention expensive, in location. However - for a clean crisp pure male scent that doesn't smack of unisexual, metro sexual, fruity, sweet, cloying, or domination it simple can't be beat. Some refer to it as having a casual aroma more suited to corduroy & flannel; which while true doesn't mean it's confined to this genre alone. It's easily upgraded to a coat & tie ensemble though perhaps not evening tuxedo. A word of caution on internet purchase: do beware of unboxed offers where the bottle top isn't the signature green. Due to the fragrance's scarcity 'knock-offs' are on the market, which lack the depth & richness of the original. Always ask beforehand, and if the seller doesn't answer - don't buy! Do try this unabashedly male scent, and if you like it then stockpile it in quantity because once it's finally gone you'll regret the loss.Read full review
