I bought this Super Dust Deputy because of the excellent experience I've had with the original product...the one used with a shop vac. I also viewed product tests as conducted by Fine Woodworking Magazine and others that determined this was an excellent addition to small shop dust removal efforts. They were right. It's been great. There were a couple initial snags however. The inlet is five inches in diameter...while the upper outlet is six inches. Adapters will likely be required and a number of Youtube videos deal with a variety of McGiver type remedies to make these options work with various size hoses and tubing. I use four inch hoses on both ends and after a couple false starts eventually decided to simply buy the adapters from Oneida. They arrived fairly quickly and the folks at Oneida called to ensure the adapters they were going to send would work with my application. They did and I'm up and running. I can't help feeling that for what we pay for this molded Super Dust Deputy they could perhaps include a variety of plastic adapters to satisfy the most common sizes....hence the four stars....but then, we wouldn't buy them would we?Read full review

This cyclone is great! I had upgraded from a drum with cyclone fittings. This works much better. I’m glad I made the purchase. I couldn’t be happier. Now, nothing is making it to the dust bag on my collector. It is all dropping out of the cyclone into the barrel below. My filter on my dust collector will rarely need cleaning! Great product!

After years of fighting with clogged filters I finally decided I would install a super dust deputy Cyclone on my single stage dust collector. The Cyclone cleans 99 percent of the dust and chips out and allows the filter to stay clean with full suction far longer. Should of done it years ago.
