I have always loved this film but my lord what a beautiful restoration. Only negative is that now some of the shots look obviously to be stage sets shot indoors, but that is a very small negative for a wonderful cleansing of a great classic.

Aliens is my all time favorite movie! I've worn out my VHS copy, then my DVD copy and now I have the blu-ray! The detail in the blu ray is phenomenal! The sound quality is fantastic! I know this movie backwards and forwards and I've seen both versions, the Cameron cut and the theatrical cut and it's hard to choose a favorite. While I liked the background info on Ripley's daughter and felt it was integral to the movie I like the theatrical version when it came to all the other characters and the editing. The movie is much more suspenseful and moves at a faster pace, barely giving you time to catch your breath! The blu-ray allows you to choose which edition you want to view and that is a definite plus. Love, Love, Love this movie! Especially on Blu-Ray!!!
This movie just keeps getting better with age! This film, along with Ridley Scott's masterpiece, Alien, are the types of movies that you can watch anytime. The Blu-Ray transfer makes the viewing that much more enjoyable! You will be greatly missed, Mr. Paxton. Semper Fi, Pvt. Hudson!
