I have now had my aftershock for about 1 month.....It works very well....connects very fast to my phone/ipad whatever....and I love to use it while I'm driving my car...and I love to use i for listening to my audiobooks...and it works very well....I can here it good and clear...and it also works fine as BT communication via the phone....although the people on the other side sometimes say that they can not hear my all that well, but i think that usually has been in quiet noisy situations. But it is awesome to be able to be "fully" aware of what is going on around you while you are listening to what ever. it is just like listning to something on the car radio on a comfy volume. If it is really important for you to get studio quality music playback...then this headsett is not for you. The headsett is not that good for music...it is missing quiet alot in the bass area, and the sound in the mid and top is somehow a little muffeled....BUT all in all in is still ok...I have tried worse headsetts that did not give any of the awesome featuers this headsett does. It works very well for what is is made for....the batteri life is also fine....I havn't used it more than about 3 hours in one go...and that hasn't been a problem. It should be said that I bought this headsett (unknowingly) as a second hand headsett....but it has worked fine for me....but I have not tried a "brand new" untoched version.Read full review

Well, if you want a conversation piece of a headset, here you go. And you can actually have a conversation with it on, too. THE GOOD -This is a seriously out-there product concept, and it actually does work. -You really can be aware of your surroundings, have a conversation with someone (um, rude?), while using it. Odds are you'll get confused between the two. -It is so lightweight you'll be afraid to take it off, or else a rouge sparrow will land on it and shatter it. -Call quality is good in both directions, although I haven't used it for this purpose in anything other than a quiet house. -May make you look like Lobot, Lando Calrissian's cyborg assistant (which you already knew, obviously). A selling point for me, but make your own choices. -Probably good for gamers who want a more immersive experience than normal headphones provide, especially in places where loudspeakers will annoy roommates/neighbors. Built-in microphones for voice chat a plus in this case. THE NOT-GOOD -Do not expect amazing, or even great sound quality, especially on the low end. Just don't. It is much better at reproducing voices, so phone calls and podcasts will fare much better than your running/biking/housecleaning playlist will. -The headset is tiny, and there is no size adjustment that can make it bigger. An elastic band comes with it than can be plugged in to bring the pads closer, but if you're head's maybe larger than average you're going to want to take it off after a few hours. -Sound leakage is very much a problem, and I have no idea what the Leak Slayer feature is doing to fix it. At reasonable volume another person will be able to hear *something* coming from your direction, and at max volume they'll be able to sing along with it from 10 feet away. If I paid full price for mine I'd be very disappointed, but I'm satisfied with mine overall. Bone conduction headsets are a very immature technology, and you'll need to keep your hopes reined in when using this.Read full review

Upside: Space-age technology. Amazingly comfortable; I've worn for 8 hours and forgot I had them on. Battery lasts long. Easy to pair. Sound quality: This is a new technology. For a new technology, the sound is great, however, I expect there will be a lot of improvement in later versions. For phone calls you can't beat it; it's like the caller is in the same room with you. For music, it's just okay; many in-ear headphones for this price sound better. But the design and functionality of this product at this price-point make this product a no-brainer. If your ok with sound that is slightly better than stock i-pod headphones you get in the box when you buy it, you'll be thrilled. If sound quality is your main interest, and you expect a great increase in sound quality for the price, you should go for an in-ear headphone. Ergonomics: The speaker drums that attach to your earbone are a little big. I look a little weird with them on, like I'm a droid or something; my sister made fun of me (which isn't unusual). I'm sure later versions will be smaller. For exercise, you can't beat it! Conclusion: I am thrilled with these headphones. I will definitely upgrade to newer versions as they hit the market. I bought a pair for everyone in my family for Christmas (except my sister of course!)Read full review

This will not work for the type of use as needed. Need to were with a full-face DOT helmet. And not being able to extend beyond the standard shape results in not have full motion on my head which is a safety hazard. Also the vibration from the speaker started to give me a headache, caused even more of a risk so had to remove after an hour of use. Thought the product had potential to use while riding a motor cycle but the risk is too high. need to be able to expand so until then cant consider using this product.

These AFTERSHOKZ Bone Conduction Headphones are GREAT and Super Safe!!! They do have good sound quality, comfortable and are lightweight. You can also use them while wearing eye glasses. and very safe compared to normal Ear Buds. I sync'd it up with my cell phone, mainly to play music. It also informs my of incoming calls and texts. I can listen to my music, yet still hear everything that is going on around me. I use them exercising at the gym and jogging or cycling in the street. If I'm mowing the lawn, I first put in 3M Classic Earplugs, then use these headphones to still listen to my music. I do also use them at work. It is easy to hold conversations with fellow workers while my music is playing. They don't even know that I'm listening to music. Now I don't have to listen to anyone complain about my music choices either. I grew up in different counties, so I listen to many different genres of music. Everyone else in the shop, just want listen to Country and Western for eight hours straight. Country is good stuff but not all day. (good Old South Georgia :-( ) I A few people at the gym asked me about them. I show them, and let them try them out. Now they have purchased their own sets. I'm giving a set to my nephew for Christmas.Read full review
