I'm not recommending this because it wouldn't charge several older batteries that still charge on the cheapie chargers that they came with, and still give decent performance. I'm not giving the lowest rating because it seems to work fine on my newer batteries. I'm also disappointed by the lack of battery charging specific information. I mean there is absolutely nothing about recommended charge rates or discharge rates for specific batteries. My lipo battery chargers very clearly state what the maximum charge rate should be based on the mah of the batteries. This charger says nothing, and I have batteries with mah ratings of 900 for solar yard lights, to 2400mah Duracell ultras. I feel like I'm guessing at any setting I use. Also - the instructions say that the refresh/break-in setting charges at a specific rate for part of the charge and another rate for the next phase, and another rate for the final phase, and yet when I try to use that feature, it requires me to pick a rate. It's confusing at the very least. It may be an excellent charger, but excellence can only be achieved if you know what input is required, and don't have to have near perfect batteries for it to function properly.Read full review

It is a great tool for managing AA and AAA cells. I do NOT regret purchasing this. There is room for future innovation! 1) The ability to measure cell impedance would be nice 2) A USB interface with software support would easily double the value of this tool. But, it really does a nice job as is sorting out the good, the bad, and the ugly.
