Buying my first not strap-ins, I had Specialized shoes in hand, was looking over the expensive different pedal/cleat wares when store guy looked at the several drillings of the shoes, said I could fit anything, directed me to these then-cheap (good quality, not $$) pedals. Just excellent. Minimal, 15-second adjustment from box. Caution: Newer pkg's cleat screws are too short. I had to go to hdw store's small parts bin for longer ones, and a 3mm hex wrench.

Road with these kind of pedals for quite a few years, and these with grey color have a great look. They always last me a few years with no problem. I use them on my road bike because I like mtb shoes.

Great entry level clipless pedals. The M520 are mounted on my hybrid bike for exercise. It has a firm hold while pedaling . If you want to try SPD type pedals these are great options.

Haven't used this set yet but I have an identical pair on another gravel bike. Love them, Shimano always has high quality components. I'm new to clipless, don't forget you are clipped in! Set them to the minimum release and practice on soft grass until you feel confident, you might be embarrassed when you do a slow-motion tipover! But it's no fault of these great pedals.

They're really good, just a little hard to adjust the tension, but once you install them you forget that they are there, as any good item in your life. Easy to get in, easy to get out.
