This is not a whirlpool This is not a Put It is like a pur and it fits a whirlpool 4396841, the title is misleading it is a generic and the actual brand name is not in the title, I did not know what brand name I was buying till I received it. I thought I was buying a Pur.

The filters seems to be everything that is was described to be. The only problem was that there were no instructions on how to install it and the fridge immediately started leaking all over the floor once I removed the old filter and put in the new one. I have had to turn off the water supply to the fridge and will have to call a repair man. So much for saving time and money by replacing the filter myself.
