I wanted to compare this simplest of action cams with the GoPro I used last year, because lots of GoPro's features rely on expensive--and somewhat complicated--accessories. I must say that without having to mess with housings you can be ready to shoot in a 3rd the time--other pros: LCD built in, ease of menu, and everyone else's favorite, built-in WiFi. Of course, battery life diminishes dramtically with WiFi or LCD use, but not any more than with the GoPro--and the ADIXXION does not require an accessory purchase ($150+-) or adaptation if you like these features. I'm a Backpacker, so the less stuff to carry, the better--I fit everything I wanted to carry with the GoPro (assorted xtra memory, batts, mounts, straps, housing and LCD) in a small tech case measuring 6x4x3...The ADIXXION, extra memory and batts fit into a zippered mouse-pouch that's only 3.75x 2.5x 1.5, and I can wear the 2 mounts i need. Much less fumbling thru gear! I definitely am fond of the new GoPro Black edition's picture and sound quality--especially in dark settings--over the Adixxion. However, the equipment, setup, and accessories required for the GoPro make Adixxion's price way less than half for the same features--and much easier to use! If you are truly a professional, you will likely use GoPro's fine stable of versatile accessory arrangements--I'm gonna use the Adixxion until I encounter something it can't handle well! The Only con I've had thus far is difficulty removing the lens cap--keep in mind, HD is HD, and i expect all these action cams will leap in bounds every market year for awhile...The Adixxion is definitely (in my opinion) the Best action-cam Value on the market this year!Read full review
It's what you'd expect. A great cheap pov camera that comes with everything you need. My only downfall is the goggle strap didn't work very well at high speeds while snowboarding, and when mounted on the handlebars of my mtn bike the video was destroyed by the vibrations. On my street motorcycle it took very good video, i just mounted it in an bad spot to take anything from in. Extremely easy to use without reading the pamphlet. The On/Off button and REC button are in the perfect spot to use when not being able to see them (goggle mount), and the beeps let you know when you turned it on/off or rec. I don't see why anyone would buy a gopro over this especially for the value
This is a well built small video/still camera, I did find an online user manual, 48 pages, printed it out and this actually cleared up some settings and use of the camera. Compared to a GoPro, well not sure why this camera would not fill the purpose, and at a lower cost. This is a small light weight unit that would work well as a Helmet Cam. The great feature is the 2 top mounted controls, that you can even make function with gloves on. I am using a 64g. Class 10 SD card. One feature that would enhance the camera, is to be able to charge while using, which you can not do. For my use this would be great. This was the only thing that I would have liked the camera to do.
I love this little camera. I bought it to go snorkeling on our honeymoon. I used it on my mountainbike rides as well. The sound is great. The picture on a computer or tv is as good as any gopro. It comes with more "factory" options that you have ti buy as an accessory on the gopro and i realy like how it is less intrusive as well. The shape feels smaller when using it. Also the wifi connection ti your iphone or android us sweet, it makes your phone like a remote fir the camera. All in all for those of you looking for an action camera that comes with more than the gopro for less than $300 the adixxion is awsome.
Excellent quality and does not require an underwater housing for general underwater use, Also has built-in screen,
