I love this phone, though the first one i bought had a defect in it or something cause it would turn off and on and i couldn't hear my calls. I bought another one hoping that, that would not happen again and it didn't. I am so happy with this phone. I love how it texts, emails, has emoticons, you can make your own personalized emoticons too. I make my own customized wallpapers from my computer to my phone (just take a snap shot of computer wallpaper and zoom if needed) Make sure you have some or no desktop icons so you leave them out of the pic. Take a pic, save it and set as phone wallpaper or use as caller photo i.d. I love how loud the phone rings, and how it is to use. My son even knows how to use it and navigate on the web and he is five years old. I can get on Facebook and Twitter.Camera, video camera, music, , fm radio and voice recorder all work GREAT!The memo and secret memo are awesome. and you can lock the phone so no one can get into it.I love how i can personalize this phone mine. I can talk on the phone and send a text at the same time "awesome" I can't say enough good things about this phone. The last thing THE PRICES IS EXCELLENT $29.99 sometimes for $39.99. I got mine on Mother's Day last year at a local store for $29.99. I love how it doesn't have a contract and i get unlimited minutes, text, talk time, web browsing, LOVE IT! The LG 900 is a great smartphone! User friendly to the max; easy to get where you want to go and easy to text; confirms all actions before it completes them. I like that. Allows downloads; email is great; that was the first action I took. Warranty is good. And the feel is the new material that is so shiny and smooth. I purchased a cover and screen protector right away to protect every stunning detail. The screen is so easy to navigate; just push the center side buttons area to go up, down, sideways; you can delete all calls by pushing the upper button over the talk button (that is your desktop and option button) go over to "call log" hit center button" the ok button" hit the "option" button, "delete all?" Yes, and it will confirm your request before deleting. All words are on screen. "option" etc. You can push the talk button (green) and your last call dialed will come up for redial. I can't say enough about this phone. Going to capital letter is on the left and punctuation marks are on the right, caps will automatically begin a name; space bar is bottom center, backspace is the back arrow on page right; has emotions, can go to browser and delete history, cache, cookies; *settings shows remaining memory for sim and in the phone; *Multimedia is where your camera, voice recorder, FM raido, music, video cam, etc. I have barely used any of the phone memory and none of the sim memory. All phone information, i.e., serial #, sim #, phone number, minutes used, choice to display or not display on your screen, how many days left on or off screen, is under your prepaid button on your desktop, minutes used, airtime display choice, buy airtime, etc. Not a mark on my phone and I can't use it. Downloads sound great. Love the 2.0 Mp Camera. And you can add hearts and little scrapbooking details and make special for your phone picture. And of course the "internet" icon takes you on the internet! Love this phone. Cons: LOOK AT THE COVERAGE MAP! I could kick myself! There is very limited coverage where I live! I can't use my phone to talk; I can text fine! Sooo, I had to purchase another phone. And I had downloaded Sonny and Cher, " I got you Babe" for my ringtone, Law and Order for incoming text, The Golden girls for messages and a great alarm that wakes me up! I pray the other phone I purchased does half of what this phone will do! I had to buy an older phone through Verizon to get coverage. When asking others who live in cities, not towns, if they received great service, they saie "Oh Yes"...made me so... I want this phone. I have to give up a phone that I put over $250 in to w/ an extended warranty, and accessories. That is how much I love this phone. Please, please look at the Net 10 COVERAGE map before buying this phone? If you get service, you are very fortunate.Read full review
The biggest downside of this phone is it is totally locked to NET10 system. There is no way you can get it unlocked, to work within other carriers. NET10 will have it unlocked for you. Octopus Box will not flash it into GW300 type to enable unlocking of LG900G later. It will not work ever, I spent 3 months to unlock, but useless. Therefore, the phone description of "Quadband GSM" is a huge illusion, it will work on NET10 only. And their data plan is the slowest, you don't get powerful signal everywhere in America, only chosen areas in some states. I didn't use this phone more than a week due to limited usage capacity. I don't recommend anyone to buy these phone, even don't try out, total waste of your time.
I've never had a smart phone so I have nothing to compare this with but this phone is easy to use and works better than any other net10 phone that I have had. The camera takes decent pictures in well lit areas with still objects, the organizer planner, notes, and memo options are a Mom's best friend. The planner allows me to have my kids and I's schedules with me at all times....allows me to add notes to those scheduled events, repeats them weekly, daily, or yearly if needed, has an alarm that is easy to set for reminders. Wonderful features. I haven't used the internet much yet...I did upload Opera mini to it as someone recommended it for faster surfing when needed. I went to look for free games and the ones that they had said I had to view the ads first but then the game never worked so I wasted minutes to view the ads and then never did get the games. I decided that was a waste of time so I went to buy games from the phone and it told me there are no games available for purchase for this phone so if that is a wanted feature, then this isn't the phone for you. There are some fun cases/skins you can purchase for this phone really inexpensively (5.45 including shipping off ebay) for a personalized look and clear covers available to protect the screen (3.99 for 4 at local Fred Meyers). You will want to invest in a USB cord for transfering music and such to save minutes. I like the built in MP3 player but as of yet have not figured out how to do continous play on it...I have to select the song to play and when it is done select a new song to play... I haven't spent much time with this so that is something that might be operator error and that I need to learn more about. Keypad has a nice touch and is easy to use...I have normal size hands for a woman. Text messages on this phone are only .25 instead of .5 like on my other Net 10 phones that I have had. All in all I am really liking this phone...good reception...good basic features and ease of operation and I'd buy it again just for the organizer...really ... what an awesome feature! I also like that on this phone I can put the persons name in and more than one phone number for that person...some Net 10 phones only allow 1 number per name... this one allows 3 plus email info, address info, bday, work title and company...a lot of info can be store for that one contact. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good overall phone and for the price it's GREAT.Read full review
I like this old phone. Have tried to get into latest phones, but, I don't like Android. Blackberry phones not great, either. Each time I buy a newer generation phone, I go back to this one. I am usually the "early adopter" for new tech, but with a phone, I do not need to check socmed, gps, etc. Just talk and a few texts during day. Keyboard has great feel also. Never thought I'd be so happy with this old phone. It's not fancy, but even though I've dropped it bunches of times, it keeps working like a champ! Fantastic phone if you don't need lots of apps.
