Minty new & works great. First I downloaded the Genuine Galaxy free app and it pronounced my phone as GENUINE. G900T Version - Had some poor quality voice calls with my service provider (using T-Mobile pipes) so I removed their sim card and inserted a borrowed AT&T sim card from an Apple i-phone and voice calls were clear, loud, and all other features and internet access worked well. Reported all this to my service provider and they fixed the connection in 48 hours. Seems like it worked on AT&T also. UNLOCKED - that's the way to go. You're not handcuffed to any provider. You're only a few clicks, or a phone call, away from using a different provider. This is my first smart phone so I'll make no comparisons with other phones or statements about how well or badly it works but I have to say that the colors are brilliant. CAMERA: There is a long shutter lag when taking photos but it is shortened if you use the touch/ remove method. Touch screen area to focus, hold it there, when you remove your finger it snaps the picture with noticeably shorter lag time. It also snaps the picture by voice command. Just say "shoot" or "snap" and it takes the photo. That reduces shake induced blur from tapping the camera. Battery: Seems to run down quickly, but I'm new at this and its the only smart phone I've used so I have no comparison. It recharges quickly. CASE - I'm using a genuine Spigen Tough Armor case with a tempered glass overlay and it looks great. Every seam is crisp and perfectly fitted. Its Mil Spec drop tested, thinner than most others, and slides easily into my jeans pocket. OVERALL- It does so much, in so many different ways, that its not easy for a beginner to get to where he wants to be with this thing. But .... I'm happy and learning new stuff every day.Read full review

I had this S5 for less than 2 months when the screen went out. I never dropped the phone or misused it in any way. One evening the screen had a yellow/green tint, and the touch sensitivity was not responding regularly. When I brought it to a repair shop, they informed me that the LCD was going out and that there were no signs of abuse on my part. I had to have the screen replaced, which was nearly $200 dollars. I contacted the seller, hoping for at least a partial refund to help cover the cost of the repair. I was informed that their distributor wouldn't give them a refund, so I wouldn't be getting one either. Now 3 months later, the back button hardly reacts to touch, and the buttons on the phone range from being highly-sensitive to not responsive at all. If I was looking to spend over $400 on a phone I would have done so. I was hoping to find something within my budget, but am now forced to stick with this sub-par product that seems like it will continue to have issues.Read full review

This is my first smart phone and I am slowly picking up the details (not the phone's fault). It seems easy and intuitive, fast and I am very pleased with everything so far. I am a basic user and travel a bit, but don't need it to run my life, just help keep up with it, so if that is similar to your needs, you may feel very comfortable with this. I cannot speak to all advanced features - the tecchy guys/gals do a great job of that! I like the screen and size and features very much. Great buy so far.

The title says it all :-) I like the screen size, very durable (dropped it face down from three feet up on hard tile and the screen protector was the only damage). The battery is nowhere near as long lasting as the Galaxy Amp Prime even, but the older technology is still good for almost everything. Very fast processor and good phone overall.

This has to be the best cell phone that Samsung has ever produced. I bought two, one for my daughter and one for me. They are superb for watching videos, the quad core processor is speedy and does not stop to buffer. I put in an extended battery with water resistant third party case and the battery life is at least three days. This model runs a very low number of background programs when the screen is dark thus saving much battery life. I like that you can install a very large memory card (up to 128 GB) and install an extended life battery. I think this is the best cell phone on the market, bar none. The super AMOLED 5.1" screen is super bright and the color is fantastic. The S5 is much, much better than the S6. The S6 is quirky to say the least, I have one of those also. Video performance on the S5 is better than on the S6. This may have something to do with the carrier, I have AT&T on the S6 and T-Mobile on the S5. I believe that the processor on the S5 is better than the one on the S6. If you have a choice you would be better off to get a Samsung Galaxy S5 (Unlocked) for around $200 than to buy an S6 or S7.Read full review
