A very solid phone indeed. It's good accurate touch screen quality. Crystal clear display and easy access menus. Very user friendly and very durable. This phone's only real disadvantage to other upper end quality phones is probably the fact that it doesn't really come with a great selection of apps, or even just free apps. I think it has one free application which would be the yellow pages map book. The 3 Megapixel camera is probably the best feature on this phone. The camera takes great pictures in good lighting although darker rooms make less appealing photo opportunities. With plenty of fun effects and entertaining options to tweak your photos, you could spend hours just customizing your photos. I will also mention that the texting with this phone is very versatile and efficient. The only thing my wife has mentioned as a down fall is the issue with manual texting. It is difficult to speed text manually when you come across words such as; "need" whereas the word requires you to press number "3" twice in a row. Otherwise, texting flows smoothly and accurately with the standard T9 auto text, or flipping the phone horizontally and activating the "qwerty" keyboard option.Read full review
I really do enjoy this phone, easy to handle and use. I enjoy being able to text either with the traditional keypad or with the keyboard. Takes better pictures that my digital camera! so easy to put them on my computer if you get a memory card with the adapter. My kids love watching the cartoons with the CV app, and with my memory card I can store music and listen with or without my headphones, I don't even use my ipod anymore. The calander feature is awesome for anyone who has to keep track of bunches of stuff, alarms are availble for every item of the planner.
Likes; battery life was alright, not the best it could have been, but it held up for me really well. (TIP! turn the brightness down on the phone when you don't need to have it real bright; dim during:classes, movies, bed-time, and work. brightness during:while you're outside on a really bright day. trust me, it helps.) I texted a lot on the phone while I had it, and the QWERTY was awesome, so was T9, it would remember any word you put. The camera was awesome too, I took a lot of good pictures with it. It can take I think any MiniSD card you could find. Most phones only take a certain type, but that bad boy took anything. It was as durable as a Samsung could get. Only in a silicone case I threw the phone on a wooden floor and all that happened was the back of it came slightly undone but never fell off. I had a few dings on it from random drops at the barn and it still worked. The widgets were very helpful too. And the calendar on screen. Dislikes; the fact that sometimes it would randomly freeze, I've had that problem with about every phone I've ever had though, you just can't get away from it. I don't know what the heck happened, but somehow it kept connecting to the internet without anything being activated on it...I never even WENT to the internet and it did it on its own. I miss this phone like crazy bad. I hope my review helped, and trust me, you cannot go wrong with a Samsung. This phone is great for first-time touchscreen users and I highly recommend. Samsung didn't do bad at all with their first ever touchscreen. I'll buy Samsung again.Read full review
I bought this unit off unlocked from Ebay because I thought it is a touch phone that my husband can easily use without the need for internet. I would rate the haptics as 7/10 because it does not easily respond to touch although I've calibrated the phone twice already. I would say, that Samsung Eternity is very easy to use. The menus are self explanatory from the very start. Even grandma would be able to configure it. I tried to look at every review for this product on youtube and all of them show good reviews, but in my opinion, there's only 90% of truthfulness in it. You gotta use the product hands on before you could agree to all the hype.
Just bought a samsung eternity off ebay to replace my slider for something less bulky. This is a great little phone. I am petite so having a larger phone with a bigger screen was not comfortable. I love the ease of this phone, all works great and very easily. I am not a techie but can manuver my way around this phone with little trouble. Now for the cons...the touchscreen is so sensitive and letters close that I am constantly having to go back and fix my mistakes in texts..and I prefer texting to talking. Also I can find no way for my phone to alert me to missed calls and texts...no beep or sound that goes off intermittently when i'm out of the room which means I must keep checking the phone. As prior stated, I'm not a techie type person and maybe there is a way and I have not found it (though I have looked). These seem to be the only detractions from an otherwise nice phone. Battery life is good for a several days, screen is clear, sound works fine....good for the price.Read full review
