This phone is great it has an on-screen keyboard for texting,a slide out keyboard, & threaded messaging. It doesnt come with an instant message app but you can download it from verizons app store. The phone is touch screen its pretty accurate but it gets a little slow depending on how many programs are running. Camera-4/5 with flash capture delayed KeyBoards-5/5 Both are great Touch Wheel-5/5 The Charge-On 50% lasts about 5 hours of constant texting,face-booking,games, & taking pics as ive found using it today. Windows Mobile-Not the best for this phone i dont mind it but its not needed Youtube-Download codecs from windows to play them. Lock Button-2/5 Constantly unlocks in pockets cause its on top of the phone and super sensitve, All in all i love this phone so far im really picky with phones but this one seems to be great for texting, internet browsing, games, pics, & phone calls in a days charge.Read full review
I bought the HTC Touch Pro 2 almost 2 years ago. It is very well built. It looks great. It has many features and even the camera works well - at 3.2 megapixels! Ive had virtually no problems with it. The Windows platform does tend to be noticeably slower than the Droid. The key pad is very usable, otherwise the stylus is conveniently tucked in the phone for easy use. Id still be using it but I have no computer at home and need faster internet speed so I bought a Galaxy S.
---------------------------------BUYER BEWARE -------------------- ------------- I got this phone for my birthday from my boyfriend last March. I have not even had the phone a year yet and I have major issues with it. Two months after I got the phone it started locking up, I would have to take the battery out and put it back and restart the phone. Then about 3 months ago my phone started with a new problem - incoming calls would not register, I would check my phone and it would say I had a voicemail but no missed calls. I can not upgrade my software properly and two weeks ago I started having problem with callers not being able to hear me. All of these problems are typical of HTC phones. It usually take a year before the phone starts freezing and the microphone goes out but in some case (such as mine) it happens in 8 months. BUYER BEWARE once you have had the phone for 6 months HTC will not fix it. A repair ship tried to charge me $100 to fix the microphone alone.Read full review
So far this is a pretty decent phone, for being a somewhat older model, it does well and is pretty fast on the web, its just taking a bit to get used to windows mobile again, and using a stylus when using the touchscreen alot, but i paid a whole $30 plus shipping for it, its hard to complain about a fully functional phone with this many features at such a cheap price, they can be had under $50 all day long. If your phone dies and you cant get a free replacement, this is a great option
I bought this product for the windows operating system and its features. Overall the product is good and met all my needs and wants. I liked how easy it is to get to all your main programs and apps. The bad thing is that the windows marketplace doesn't offer many apps yet. Compared to android phones and the iphone it operates just as well and offers the same features, there just aren't as many apps out there yet.
